If you've been following my blog for awhile you know that I stalled on making a decision between marble and quartz-that-looks-like-marble for a long - I mean reallllly long - time. We eventually decided to go with Silestone quartz.
It's been three months since we had it installed. My thoughts... I love it! I really do. It is a huge improvement. It is beautiful. It is super durable in every sense. It makes the space look amazing. BUT, it's still not marble. I don't know how exactly to describe it other than the quartz just doesn't satisfy the itch! It's like 99% good but I still think marble would have looked better. Marble was my original vision and as much as I love the new counters, it is hard to pull myself away from that vision. (We chose the quartz because of the durability... Living with three messy boys, I figured it was the practical thing to do!)
I definitely do not regret doing the quartz, but that being said, in my NEXT house I think I will bite the bullet and do the marble! Take a risk instead of always making the practical choice...
What do you think?
